How We Provide the Report
* SGS Pre-Shipment Inspection: Conducted at the loading port (Busan / Incheon) on the exact lot being shipped.
* Testing Methods: ASTM E1251 (spectrometry), Loss on Drying /
Ignition (ASTM E1755), Crucible Melt Test, and Manual Sorting per ISRI
Framework - matching the methods in your reference.
* Issuance: The certified SGS report is issued directly to both seller and buyer before the vessel departs. It includes the CoA, weight verification, photographic documentation, and full test results.
The purpose of the SGS inspection is to give you full confidence in the material before any payment is made. Specifically, the inspection will cover:
1. Physical existence and visual confirmation: Yes, absolutely. The SGS inspector will attend our yard at the loading port and physically see the UBC material. Existence, volume, and general condition will be confirmed on site.
2. Quality and grade verification: The inspector will verify the
material against the agreed specification: aluminum content/purity, UBC percentage, and visible contamination (iron, plastic, moisture, dirt, etc.). Sampling and testing can be arranged as part of the scope if you wish.
3. Quantity verification: Weighing of the material to confirm the net tons against the contract quantity.
4. Loading supervision: If you prefer, SGS can also supervise the
loading into containers and seal them, so you are assured the inspected material is exactly what is shipped.
5. Documentation: SGS will issue a formal inspection certificate with findings, photos, weights, and results, which serves as the basis for the payment milestone under our agreed terms.
In short: SGS will see the material in the yard, confirm it exists, check
its quality, and verify the quantity, all documented in an official
certificate before any money moves.
